Anemic Christianity
Anemic Christianity
Much of the power and vitality is leached out of the body of Christ because the corporate ‘old man’ is allowed to reign virtually unchallenged. If our personal talk and walk do not match, then the fruits of His Spirit are not being manifest in our daily relationships and we are living a lie.
Asa: The Victory of Faith
Asa: The Victory of Faith
King Asa ruled at a very difficult time in his nation's history. In 2 Chronicles 14, when other nations were threatening Judah's security, we find Asa standing strong in the Lord. As with other wise leaders like David, Joshua and Gideon, who gave God His rightful place at the helm, we witness the Lord taking the challenges on Judah's behalf and winning battles for them against all odds! There is counsel in this account as to how we are to face the enemies and difficulties in our lives if we want the Lord’s strength and activity on our behalf.
The Attributes of God
The Attributes of God
Our Creator God, Who inhabits eternity, is incomprehensible to the human
mind. We do know from Scripture that He is timeless, knows no limitations or
imperfections and is above all, through all and in all. “In Him we live and
move and have our being. "Acts 17:28. A.W. Tozer writes "Only the Spirit of
the Holy One can impart to the human spirit the knowledge of the holy. Yet as
electric power flows only through a conductor, so the Spirit flows through truth
and must find some measure of truth in the mind before He can illuminate the
heart. Faith wakes at the voice of truth but responds to no other sound." Our
goal in this series, is to discover what God has revealed about Himself in Scripture
and to see how these revelations affect, aid, and assure us in our Christian
lives.

Christian Privileges
Christian Privileges
Just as a marriage is one person taking another person for life, the Bible likens true Christianity to a marriage relationship. So, when we become a Christian, we take in Christ for life and the relationship then begins. And with the relationship come the privileges; Christian privileges flowing naturally from that union. This 8-part study looks into those unique privileges of fellowship, service, prayer, giving, hope, suffering and guidance.

Confidence and Assurance in Christ
Confidence and Assurance in Christ
This two-part series addresses the struggles and liberating truths gleaned from Romans 7 and 8. Compared are the contrasting natures, laws and spheres in which a believer consciously or subconsciously lives. These are topics well worth our contemplation, because our resulting choices make all the difference between a fulfilled life and a wasted one. The emphasis is upon what God has already provided for us in His Son.

Coping With Crisis
Coping With Crisis
Life gives us numerous opportunities to respond to crisis and suffering. Their intrusion into our lives is usually threatening and disheartening. We instinctively fight against the loss of control. Yet the feelings of weakness and vulnerability that accompany crisis and suffering are divinely intentional. God is teaching us to trust Him. He promises to provide strength in our weakness. He wants to teach us to live in dependency upon Him, allowing Him to show Himself adequate in these circumstances.
I Samuel 17:1-51
Divine Guidance
Divine Guidance
The question of “what is God’s will for my life?” is often considered with fear and uncertainty. This message allays those fears. It beckons us to trust Him, anticipating the joy of aligning our wills with His as we seek fellowship with the Shepherd of our souls.

EASTER Messages
EASTER Messages
The Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ are the very core of the Christian faith. They display the immense value God places upon the human soul. Jesus came into the world to die; He came seeking those who will sense their lost condition and turn to Him in simple faith. It is through an inner heart transaction with Him that His eternal life is allowed to flow into the repentant and receptive soul. Only a few of Pastor Day’s Easter Messages were preserved, but when Easter comes around, we trust their message will resonate in your own heart and be a blessing to you.

Facing Trouble & Trials
Facing Trouble & Trials
Eventually we all face problems that threaten to overwhelm us. Job said, “Man is born to trouble as the sparks fly upward.” In Isaiah 41, God gives His people two great promises. The first is a promise of immediate assistance in the crisis. The second is a promise of ultimate victory. Perspective is everything! Our wills are involved in the eventual outcome. Fear looks inward and evaluates our coping skills based upon our own inadequacy and frailty. While faith looks away from self and reckons the battle to be the Lord’s
Faithfulness: the Key to Blessing
Faithfulness: the Key to Blessing
The requirement that God places upon blessing is simply faithfulness. If you're a believer, you are a steward because you have been entrusted with certain gifts, talents, skills, property, opportunities, money and time -which in the final analysis all belong to God... We don't own what we use. Even our bodies are loaned to us and they're ours to manage, for their owner, for the duration of our sojourn on this earth. The Bible says that “we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain that we shall carry nothing out.” Now “it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful”. But as with other commands, the Lord always makes provision for our weakness and inability to perform that which He would have us be and do. The scriptures make it clear that faithfulness is one of God’s attributes. It is a quality of His character. “The Lord is faithful, who shall establish you and keep you from evil.” Once again, our faithfulness is underwritten by His faithfulness.
1 Corinthians 4:2
Foundations of Faith
Foundations of Faith
This 12-message series is a healthy refresher of the basic tenets of our faith. It reminds us of the love and lengths to which the triune God has gone, to salvage a fallen human race. Presented in understandable simplicity, we consider the liberating effects of positional truth, assurance of our salvation and how to respond to conflict and temptation. We explore how to restore connection with God when He seems silent, and the shelter available for us amid anxiety and fear. Then there are the inevitable challenges of relationships, and God’s purpose of the Church. Overarching all is our walk with the Lord and the importance of prayer and fellowship with Him. How marvelous is His desire for relationship and friendship with us!

The Fruit of the Spirit
The Fruit of the Spirit
Galatians 5 gives the description of the fruit of the Spirit: "...love,
joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and
self-control..." (verses 22, 23). These character qualities are expressions
of the Spirit of God and are impossible for humanity to replicate. How easy
it is for the believer to fall into religious legalism, attempting to live
the Christian life in his or her own strength. Because spiritual freedom and
liberty are such a challenge to the enemy of our souls, he works incessantly
to undermine the expression of these grace-filled qualities in the
believer's life.

Gideon: God’s Vessel of Weakness
Gideon: God’s Vessel of Weakness
When a need is presented, how easy it is to say “oh no, I couldn't do that”… “I have nothing to offer”. Yet, when prayed about, the Lord says, “I want you to do it for me”… “I want you to trust me to supply every need”. Then, with fear and trembling, steps in faith are taken, weaknesses are willfully disregarded, and the Lord Himself becomes both the focus and the necessary strength required. Gideon could have said no, but he chose to obey what God had asked him to do. And inevitably the Lord's name was honored, and many lives were blessed as a result.

God's Sufficiency
God's Sufficiency
We belong to a God who is bigger than the problems we are facing. Fear looks inward and evaluates our available resources based upon our own frail inadequacy. Faith, on the other hand, reckons upon the Lord and His resources! We have little control over what may enter our spheres, but we do have both choice and responsibility over how we conclude our responses to those circumstances.
Casting all your care upon Him for He cares for you - Isaiah 41
The Good Samaritan
The Good Samaritan
The parable of the Good Samaritan followed a famous interview between an unnamed lawyer and the Lord Jesus. Though few of us would intentionally take the wrong path, what seems to be right to our intellect and reasoning often turns out to be dead wrong. “There is a way that seems right unto man, but the ends thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12. The traveler in our story was eventually attacked by thieves, who left him weak, hopeless and unprotected. The priest and Levite, representatives of organized religion, passed by indifferently on the other side. They had nothing to offer him. But “the Samaritan, when he saw the injured man, had compassion upon him, bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, carrying him on his own beast, He brought him to an inn and took care of him.” What a difference! The good Samaritan is none other than the Lord Jesus Himself. Psychology can't mend broken hearts or heal broken lives, but Jesus can! In the Scriptures, oil is a picture of the Holy Spirit and, as we all know, the wine represents the blood of Jesus Christ, which was shed for us on the cross. These are vital ingredients to the healing of any soul and true healing cannot take place without them.
Luke 10:25-36
The Healthy Church
The Healthy Church
This study, drawn from Luke's Gospel, focuses upon Christ as the initiator and sustainer of His Church. Through the power of His Holy Spirit, Christ's "body" is intended to be a place where prayer becomes effective, faithfulness is instilled, and lost sheep are found. As the truth of God's Word cuts 'surgically' to expose self-righteousness, unforgiveness and strongholds, that have kept individuals from becoming ‘more than conquerors' against the enemy that wars against our souls! This is not a utopia, but it is a biblical description of a healthy growing organism of flawed people, called the Church. When Christians are connected vitally to the Lord Jesus Christ, His love and life begin to spill out into the world, and we are a testimony to our source! "By this shall all men know that you are My disciples, if you have love one to another." John 13:35

In Defense of the Faith
In Defense of the Faith
We believe that the Bible, in its original form, was inspired by God and is in fact God's message to man. This series of messages considers the Bible in its own displayed credibility. Throughout the past two thousand years, countless millions of Christians have lived in hope and have died in peace, because they placed their faith in the promises of the Bible and discovered for themselves that what it says is true! It's claim is simply stated in I John 5:11-12, "This is the record that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life and he who has not the Son, has not life."
1) Question: "What makes you think you are right, and everyone else is wrong?"
2) Question: "How can you believe in Creation?"
3) Question: "Is Jesus really the Christ, the Son of God?"
4) Question: "How can God be three in One: Father, Son and Holy Spirit?"
5) Question: "What are the Judgments of God?"
6) Question: "What does the Bible say of the Return of Christ to this earth?"
In Search of Honesty
In Search of Honesty
This message is about the honesty of the believer in his walk in the world. The world may not understand or accept our faith. It may think that we are strange for having that faith. But it has a pretty good idea of what a Christian is supposed to live like. And when he fails to do so, the world brands him as a hypocrite, and rightly so. There are some believers who imagine that their Christianity gives them some kind of right to receive professional services from other Christians at a cut rate… or free of charge. I can't find that anywhere in scripture. The Bible is consistent in its call to believers to stay above reproach in their relationship with others.
In Search of Joy
In Search of Joy
Happiness is directly linked to our circumstances and our emotions. And like a thermometer it naturally rises and falls accordingly. Joy is an entirely different entity. It is indivisible from the Lord Jesus, in Whose “…presence is fullness of joy…and pleasures for evermore” Psalm 16:11. He prayed for us in John 17:13 “…these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.” The personal challenge of this message is whether the spiritual fruit of joy is evident in my life, regardless of my circumstances?

Innocent Blood
Innocent Blood
There are those who say that the unborn child is “not a person”. They like to call it a “fetus” because it sounds more respectable and claim that “it's nothing more than a growth within the body of the mother, a mass of cells which one day will become human”. It's amazing that so-called ‘educated’ people could subscribe to a view like this. This argument is not only unscientific, and unscriptural, but it's ludicrous to anyone who bothers to examine the evidence. The original New Testament was written in Koine Greek. Greek is a mathematical language, one very exact in its ability to express its sense. It is also rich in its grammar and vocabulary. In the Scriptures, the word for baby is 'brefos'. This word is used to describe unborn babies, newly born babies, and growing infants. There is no differentiation, they are all one in the same. So, this designation is notable when expressed in a language with such specialized words capturing the exact sense of the idea being presented. Note: Since this message was given decades ago, our National position has changed due to the 2022 ruling by the Supreme Court overturning Roe vs. Wade. The CDC reported that "since abortion regulation was returned to states, abortions have decreased in states with bans, but overall the number has increased nationally; with an estimated 1.14 million abortions recorded in 2024". The report goes on to say that "This marks the highest numbers in recent history". So regardless of the landmark decision, the grisly work continues... On behalf of those little ones in the future who will await their fate at the hands of unscrupulous doctors, let's look into what God's Word says about abortion.
Proverbs 6:17
John the Baptist
John the Baptist
It's easy to imagine that some of the prophets were pretty unorthodox in their appearance and way of life, and John the Baptist would have been no exception. His message, wardrobe and diet would have caused some eyebrows to raise and if he’d been judged by his appearance alone, it’s likely that his message would have been lost to us. But in most cases the prophet’s mindset was to not really care of what men thought about them… They weren't trying to please men. They were there to please God. John the Baptist was God's man, doing God's job, with the power of God within and upon him. He was the first prophet to speak for four hundred years, and this was the message he was given: “Repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” He was, in the words of Isaiah, “the voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare ye the Lord, make his paths straight.” John the Baptist’s setting was not just the physical wilderness, but he was speaking into a spiritual wilderness, created by generations of worldly influence and oppression. A wilderness in which there was a mere form of godliness, but the power was missing.
Luke 1:5
The Local Church
The Local Church
On the day of Pentecost, the Spirit of God descended upon the expectant believers in power and changed them from the inside out. He made them different men. They were no longer fearful, no longer doubting. They were motivated and activated by a power that was not their own. They then spilled out into the crowded streets of Jerusalem with such energy and conviction that a large-scale revival broke out. That was the birth of the Church. Although it has changed through the centuries in its traditions, customs and the ways of doing things, the Church at its foundation has not changed. The local church is still a body of people who, by placing their faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, are indwelt individually by the same Comforter who fell upon those first disciples back in Acts 2. It’s healthy for us, in the light of God’s word, to consider and make quite sure that, as a local part of the body of Christ, we don't turn aside from the path which God would have us follow. In this series of messages, we are going to take a ‘pilgrimage’, back to the days when the Church first began.

The Ministry of the Holy Spirit
The Ministry of the Holy Spirit
This message focuses upon the Spirit of God in the life of a Christian. The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and Son, and as a member of the divine Trinity, takes up residence within the Christian at salvation. He is the source of the 9-fold fruit that flows out of the one who is abiding in Him. This message considers the reward for the one who allows Him full access, body, soul and spirit. God's claim over us comes with rich blessing and it's difficult to comprehend the scope of what God wants to do through a surrendered soul.
New Testament Tithing
New Testament Tithing
When God enters into the heart of a man, His will enters the heart with Him. Consequently, the external laws of God now become the internal desires of the believer. This is the main difference between the Old and New Testaments. God told Jeremiah that He “would put his law in the inward part of man. He would write it upon their hearts”. So, although the true believer is no longer under the law, in its capacity as a schoolmaster, nevertheless its precepts should be spontaneously bubbling up from within because Christ is in control. Since He's the creator and the controller of all things, the 'all things' that are His become ours. He gave himself for us, and now He gives himself to us. That's the inheritance that we have. But interchangeably, the reverse is also true… We mustn't overlook that when we give ourselves to Him, then not only do we give ourselves, but we give everything we have. It's all His because we ourselves are His.
2 Corinthians 9:6; Malachi 3:7
Not I but Christ
Not I but Christ
Paul shunned a faith and righteousness which were achieved by his own efforts. That would amount to: ‘If I have enough faith, then I'll get the righteousness.’ You know, almost without exception, modern translators have changed the sense of Philippians 3:9 quite unnecessarily to something which it doesn't say! They've changed it to read “the righteousness which is by faith in Christ”. But Paul doesn't say that. He seeks “that which is through the faith of Jesus Christ”, which is a different thing altogether. Ephesians 2:8 clearly states that faith doesn't come from us, it doesn't originate with man; “it is a gift of God”. It’s also one of the fruits of His Spirit, Galatians 5:22. Paul desired a knowledge of the Lord Jesus that transcended the normal. “That I may know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death,” “…not as though I have already attained, … but I follow after (I pursue) that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended by Jesus Christ.” Paul had no time for imitation -he sought the real thing. What a quest! There can be no greater goal in life than that of pursuing intimacy with the Lord Jesus Christ! One that promises to bear unfathomable fruit in eternity!
Philippians 3:7-14
Overcomer Series
Overcomer Series
The Strong’s definition of overcoming is "to conquer, to carry off the victory, to hold fast one’s faith even unto death." This victory is every believer’s inheritance, solely through our union with Christ Jesus. We are not wrestling flesh and blood but rather spiritual enemies, who want our defeat and ruin. The enemy of our souls has a revealed strategy, to “lie, steal and to destroy.” He cannot snatch away our salvation, but he can bring our reflection of the Lord down into defeat. We do not overcome by feelings, circumstances, or even by willpower. A believer's tenacity and invincibility come entirely from our union with the risen Lord Jesus Christ, Who, overcame the same enemies who threaten to undo us. Our secret as Christians lies in our alliance with a living victorious Person! It is in the arena of truth, where the battle is fought and the outcome decided. Jesus said to the Jews who believed on Him, "if you continue in My word, then are you My disciples indeed and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31-32

Parable of the Seed & Soils
Parable of the Seed & Soils
The parable Jesus taught in Mark 4:1-20, is often called the “Parable of the Sower”, but it is really about the soil’s reception to the seeds sown. The “world” being the soul of the individual, God’s Word the seed, and the “soils” are the four human responses. In fact, each of us falls into one of the four sections and no one is exempt. God’s Word is heard in each instance, but the life-giving seed has no effect unless it finds lodgment and growth within the hearts and souls of those hearing it. The secret to good fertile soul-soil is a faith filled life. We can ask God for this belief, as did an earnest man in Mark 9:25 "Lord, I believe, help Thou mine unbelief”. In contrast, Hebrews 4:2 conveys that “…the Word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.” The seed's purpose and fulfillment in both salvation and Christian growth is fruit, the fruit of His Spirit.

Perilous Times
Perilous Times
We live in the church age. It began on the day of Pentecost, AD 32 and scripture reveals that it will end when Christ returns suddenly and secretly to take away those who belong to him. All indicators point to the fact that we have already entered the final phase of the church age and that the end is growing near. The purpose of this series of messages is to consider the insidious characteristics of the end times, how they have seeped into the church and are destroying its unity and its effectiveness while it sleeps… Subsequently, she has lost her credibility, her power and her testimony. It is therefore critical that believers wake up to what is happening.
1) Men shall be lovers of their own selves…
2) Men shall be covetous and children, disobedient to parents…
3) Men shall be unthankful and unholy…
4) Men shall be without natural affection… Ever learning…and having a form of godliness… Denying the power thereof… and never able to come to a knowledge of the truth…
The Practicalities of Pentecost
The Practicalities of Pentecost
The disciples had witnessed Jesus' death, his resurrection and they'd watched in awe as he ascended into heaven. But it was all rather like a play being acted out, outside of themselves… and they were the audience. Initially, the best they could do was to marvel at what Christ had achieved.. but in their persons, they were no better off than they were before Jesus came. Their sins were paid for by the blood of the Lamb, but they were not yet born of the Spirit; therefore, technically they were still ‘unsaved’. Romans 8:9 says, "If any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." The presence of Christ within a believer is not ‘an optional extra’, but the very essence of the believer's Christian identity. The indwelling power within you and me, as Christians, is the same mighty power that raised Jesus from the dead! It's not just a version of it.. So what should a life lived in Christ look like? We often make the Christian life more complicated than it ought to be; usually because we are dead men trying to control things that work only under the control of living management!
The Second Coming of Jesus Christ
The Second Coming of Jesus Christ
The Scriptures tell us that God will eventually put a stop to the rampage of sin on this earth and predict catastrophic conditions on a global scale, at the end of this age. They also indicate that the next momentous event on the Biblical calendar is the sudden unexpected and irrevocable return of Christ for His own. We find, as we revisit several passages, that the descriptions of the Lord's coming cannot be reconciled, apart from being two distinctly different events; one being the rapture of the Church, and the second being a literal, physical return of Jesus Christ, with His Saints, to this earth. Our Lord’s return is mentioned many times in the Old Testament, and 318 times, in the New Testament alone. So, in this series we will consider the differences between the two events. Revelation mentions a blessing for looking into this book, but such an inquiry also involves preparing one's heart for what is inevitably coming.

Song of the Soul
Song of the Soul
When a person trusts Christ for salvation, it is his or her soul that is saved. The soul is the seat of the mind, will and emotions, it contains the personality. There are various interpretations as to what comprise the human soul. This devotional study, centering around Psalm 103, will help us gain a clearer picture of how scripture describes, and provides for, our inner selves. Many passages link the mastery of a human soul with who is at the helm of that spirit. This is a series of messages addressing five vital needs of the soul, and how the Lord has provided that elusive path to personal balance and control.
1) Forgiveness of the Soul
Psalm 103:3a
2) Healing of the Soul
Psalm 103:3b
3) Redemption of the Soul

4) Feeding of the Soul

The Sovereignty of God
The Sovereignty of God
To 'predestine' is to mark out before hand. A destination is the point at
which we complete our journey. Pre-destination simply means that the final goal
has been decided before the journey begins. A letter is predestined because
you decide where it will go before you ever mail it.
If you are a believer,
it is the same with you! Your spiritual journey actually began before the beginning
of time, when God chose you for salvation. Having chosen you, He took steps
to ensure that you end up "...without blame, before Him in love"! Ephesians
1:4 This message explores the meaning of this mystery. It describes our adoption,
redemption, inheritance and how our conformity to Christ "shall be to the praise
of His glory".

The way God prepares heart-soil is through love; a love which comes only from Him. The love the believer displays is one released within us when we are available to the Holy Spirit. It’s His presence that authenticates the believer's claim to salvation. No amount of persuasive words will substitute for God’s wooing a soul. A seeker may respond in curiosity and inquiry but that’s also solely the work of the Holy Spirit. People do not convince other people of their need for salvation, only God does that! “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him” John 6:44. Scripture reveals that our part is to sow the seed. In 1 Peter 3:15 we read, "Be ready always to give an answer, to every man who asks you, a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear." Very few Christians object to explaining their faith to someone who is eager to hear it! When the Lord chooses to illuminate a person's mind and heart to receive the truth, then there's nothing more wonderful than being the channel in leading that soul to Christ!

Spiritual Conflict
Spiritual Conflict
This 4-message series brings into focus an unseen world and battle that
is actively being waged.
The enemy cannot take away the Christian's
salvation, but he is focused upon neutralizing our individual and corporate
effectiveness, as residents of God's Kingdom. “Forasmuch then, as the
children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took
part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power
of death, that is the devil and deliver them who through fear of death, were
all their lifetime subject to bondage.” Heb 2:14-15 Whether conscious of it
or not, every human soul is positioned on one side or the other of an unseen
world and war. Our perspective on our position in this battle influences how
we respond to the seemingly unrelated details of our daily lives, from the
crisis to the mundane. Perspective is everything! “For we wrestle not
against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against
the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in
high places”. Ephesians 6:12

Stewardship
Stewardship
Often our planning and strategizing for the future fails to take into consideration whether our schemes are aligned with God’s will. Throughout the Old and New Testaments, it’s clear that God’s proffered blessing is not automatic. It doesn't mean to say that we work for the blessing, or that we earn it in some way. Nothing could be further from the truth, because we can't earn anything from God. But Paul spoke about the obedience of faith; a faith that reveals itself through specific obedient action before the blessings flow. This principle also applies to our money… a subject which is often spurned when coming from the pulpit. Nevertheless, we suffer unnecessarily when we don't apply the terms that God has laid down.

Strength in Difficulties
Strength in Difficulties
Habakkuk was a prophet who was weighed down with concern for his country. He wasn't afraid to frame his worry before his Heavenly Father. He voiced his fear. What was more troubling for him was that after he prayed and prayed and no answer seemed to come. Why Lord? Why are you allowing all of this to happen? In this single message we consider the Prophet's Request; the Lord's Reply; and The Prophet's Reaction.
The Testing of Ahaz
The Testing of Ahaz
King Ahaz reigned over the southern kingdom of Judah for 16 years. He was recorded as one who followed his own reasoning. God attempted to work with this man through His prophet Isaiah. Ahaz was like a pilot being asked to trust his instruments and to deliberately turn away from his own feelings and reasoning. But rather than to trust God's Word and to walk by faith, he chose his own scheme to save him from the enemy. Subsequently, he brought disaster upon his nation. How often we are tempted to take things into our own hands and act on our gut feelings, when God is asking us to wait upon Him and to let Him handle it.
Isaiah 7:1-14
Three Blessings of Believing
Three Blessings of Believing
This message looks at three blessings, covering our past, present and future:
a) The peace that comes to us when inner hostility ends.
b)
The family access to come freely and confidently into God's presence.
c)
The tie between present suffering and the glorious future that awaits us.
Romans 5:1-5
Transformation: Balancing God's Part and Mine
Transformation: Balancing God's Part and Mine
Paul was constrained not by his love for Christ, but by Christ's boundless love for him. That was the measure that enabled him to walk by faith, to discern God's will and like a butterfly, to be metamorphosed... We too are exhorted to not fashion ourselves after the world's thinking but to be transformed. It's not something we do; it's something God does in us, in His own time and in His own way. You and I are in a race, and for each it looks different.. but we are to run it..."looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of faith."
Hebrews 11:6, Proverbs 3:5-6, Rom 12:2
The View Ahead
The View Ahead

The Waters of Baptism
The Waters of Baptism
Baptism is a specific command by the Lord Jesus to the Christian church, following their personal conversion. Baptism is a physical and public expression of a private union that has taken place in the heart of the believer. It is important that we express our relationship to the Lord openly, not brashly or stridently, but without embarrassment. When somebody is really committed to Christ, he or she possesses a kind of gentle boldness which doesn't back down. Admittedly, giving a clear witness for Christ may make people feel uncomfortable and possibly even angry. But, when we ‘confess with our mouth that Jesus is the Christ’, we are speaking the same thing about Him that God speaks. We are identifying Him as Creator, as Lord, as Redeemer, and as our personal Savior. And in believer's baptism we make no attempt to hide the fact that we're trusting Him for salvation.
Matthew 28: 18-20; Romans 10:9
What We Believe and Why
What We Believe and Why
What we Believe and Why is a wonderful series that shows through scripture the foundational themes that are the fabric of authentic Christianity; explaining what God is like, the divinity of Jesus Christ, Bible covenants, Biblical dispensations and the sovereignty of God, versus the free will of man. Christians are often unclear about the deep Scriptural foundations of their faith. As the time of the Lord’s return comes closer, we are seeing a huge decline in morality, in interest in God’s existence, and the value and dignity of human life. II Thessalonians 2:2-3 prepares believers to "not be shaken or troubled" by these events, which are described as a "falling away" prior to the "day of Christ”. I Peter 3:15 challenges us to “sanctify the Lord God in our hearts and always be ready to give an answer, to every man that asks us for a reason, for the hope that in us with meekness and fear.”

Why Worship On Sunday?
Why Worship On Sunday?
Why do Christians worship on the first day of the week rather than on the Sabbath? This study explores the Biblical reasons why, since the Apostles, Sunday has become our day of worship... The roots of this change go down into the great doctrines of the Christian faith. Through this clear and systematic message, a strong case is presented for the Christian’s freedom and rest in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Wiles of the Devil
The Wiles of the Devil
We have a ruthless enemy who wants to deceive us, imprison us in habitual failure, spoil our fellowship with the Lord, and destroy our testimony. Understanding who our enemy is and how to fight back is a crucial part of our daily walk. Satan, described as a roaring lion, is seeking whom he may devour. Under his command is a highly organized host of spirit-beings or demons, which unquestionably do his bidding. How often do we perceive the petty stressors of life as irritants of mere flesh and blood, while not seeing the true source behind them? A healthy balance is to be neither obsessed nor oblivious to the enemy of our souls. Whether we are cognizant of him or not, Satan’s presence is very real. A much more powerful Presence is that of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who has already conquered Satan! And all the supernatural authority vested in Him is available to us! Our spiritual position, security and authority are all bound up in our victorious Lord. “For whosoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4 “Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:57

The Wonder of our Calling
The Wonder of our Calling
While imprisoned in Rome and awaiting his hearing before Nero, the
Apostle Paul wrote four wonderful letters. They are personal in nature and
offer blessings from the heart of God. These blessings flow from the Lord
Jesus Christ... "for it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness
dwell" Colossians 1:19. The first message, like a pothole which can’t be
avoided, focuses upon God's sovereign selection in salvation. In this
message, we delve into what the Bible has to say about predestination and
personal choice. The second investigates the two phases of spiritual
adoption; then looks further into God's design of redemption and the
believer's inheritance in Christ. “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them,
and they follow me. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never
perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. "
John
10:27-28
